Revolutionary War Veteran and Pensioner, Capt. Van Wie's Company, Colonel Hendrick Quackenboss, 5th Albany Regiment. They were engaged in the invasion of Quebec, seeing action at Fort George and the Battle of Valcour Island.

He and his family moved to Canada to join the Loyalists there.
