William came to MA Bay in 1634 (based on the Aug. 4, 1634 gr ant of land at Cambridge) & settled at Cambridge where he d. testate Ma r. 7, 1661/2.
His son Rev. Samuel kept a journal, which is probably the source of som e of the vital dates above. In that journal he gave an account of his f ather's migration:
"My father William Man was born in the other England in the county of K ent (in what town I cannot learn) about the year of [our] Lord 1607 bei ng the youngest of eleven children of what age he was and in what year h e came into the land...I cannot learn, only this much he was one of the f irst comers into the Colony of the MA."William married JARRED, Mary in 1643 in Cambridge, MA.
