Thomas, of Watertown, arrived from Virginia, whither he came from Londo n, May 1635, in the Plain Joan, bringing children perhaps: Thoma s, said to have been born 2 May 1625, Nicholas, and Susanna (of whom th e former two died young). He was made freeman of MA colony 1 3 May 1640. After being fined once for neglecting the law of baptism an d twice for neglect of public worship, with increasing weight, and his d aughter Susanna having married John Farnum of Boston, who favored the B aptist views of ordinances, he was driven to Providence, and lived in t hat part now Smithfield.

Thomas married PARKHURST, Phoebe about 1640 in Watertown, MA. Phoebe (daughter of PARKHURST, George Sr. and LEETE, Phebe) was born on 29 Nov 1612 in St. Steven's, Ipswich, Suffolk, England; was christened on 29 Nov 1612 in St. Mary On Quay, Ipswich, Suffolk, England; died in 1688 in Watertown, MA; was buried in Providence, RI.
