    • She was an WAC during WWII.This is the woman who I visited at her farm in New Hampshire. She had given a genealogy lecture on the Puffers in MA and that is how I learned of her. When I visited her (Freedom Acres, NH) she showed me her copy of the Puffer Genealogy book by Charles Nutt. She allowed me to take it home and use it. I had it re-stitched and rebound as a thank you for letting me use it. Some 10 (1988) years after returning it a friend of hers called me and asked if I wanted the book. I paid $50 plus shipping. That's how I came across an original copy of the book. DMC
