  He is a graduate of the Mass. Institute of Technology (B.S. 1884). He was assistant in electrical engineering in 1884; instructor, 1886-93; assistant professor, 1901-6. He resigned to open an office as consulting and expert engineer, 201 Devonshire St., Boston. He was a member of the jury on awards at the Pan-American Exposition in 1901; a member of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers; the Society of Illuminating Engineers.
