    • Why the name change? His father told him to leave because he couldn't get along with his step mother (Carrie Wilkie). He left home at age 12. He changed his first name from Lyman to Albert. It was his father Chancellor that changed his last name from Puffer to Livingston, taking his mother's maiden name.

      He was known for his life in the woods. A great hunter and trapper. He even sold trophy sized bucks to hunters from lower MI that couldn't or didn't know how to hunt. When asked about a hunting/trapping/fishing license he would laugh and say "That's for other people!"
