  • Notes
    • "Always as boy and man he has been known to be trustworthy and strictly honest. His word needed no bond. He had worked for various mechanical firms and making their interests his own was popular with employers and his fellow workmen. He also was an amateur farmer and fruit grower and the flowers that greeted you from his lawn showed his and his wife's love for the beautiful. His was a model home. With his devoted wife and two exemplary sons their home life was an ideal object lesson. But just as they were prepared to enjoy the fruits of their toil in comfortable leisure he was stricken with malignant disease. *** Four brother Masons bore him to his last resting place". (newspaper obituary)
