    • Attended the public schools, and graduated from the Natick High School in 1891. Afterward he took a course at the Bryant & Stratton Commercial School, Boston. He learned the printing trade in the office of the New Rochelle Paragraph; returned to Natick, and was employed for two years and a half by Nutt & Pratt. From 1899 to 1904, he was associated with his brother in the Worcester Spy business and during the part of the time he was foreman of the composing room. Since 1904 he has been on the Boston Morning Globe, as linotype operator and makeup man. He is gifted musically and for a number of years played double bass and flute in various orchestras. He is a charter member of the Horace Greeley Lodge, Kinghts of Pythias, Boston; member of the Royal Arcanum and of Typographical Union, No. 13, Boston.
