  He removed about 1889 to Morris, Manitoba with his parents and later about 1895 to Winnipeg. He attended the public schools, graduating from Central High School, Winnipeg, Wesley College of Winnipeg and Manitoba University (B.A.) He also graduated from the law department, was called to the bar in 1912 and is now a barrister-at-law, practicing in Winnipeg, partner in the firm of Munroe, Mackenzie and Macqueen. He is a member and officer of the Grace Methodist Church of Winnipeg.
