  He entered Queen's College, Cambridge in 1601 and graduated with the de gree of B.A. in 1605, and M.A. in 1609. He was an Anglican clergyman who became a Congregational minister. He w as the founder of Barnstable, MA. He immigrated to America on the Griffin and arrived in Boston on Septem ber 18, 1634.
