She authored a journal, Spring, 1850- June 1851, documenting life on trail from Missouri to the Sierra Nevada Carson River Route emigrant trail crossing (near today’s California Highway 88). Her journal has been used to re-research Nevada and Dayton history. "Covered Wagon Women, Diaries and Letters from The Western Trails, (First Bison Books Printing) 1996."
