- He was removed in his early childhood by his step-father from his home in Wolcott, N. Y. to Phelps in the same state, where he lived until the fall of 1831. He then went to reside with his uncle Daniel, in Troy, N. Y. In May, 1842, he started a dry goods business in Troy in partnership with Joseph J. Alden, but died October 22, 1842. He was unmarried.
