- [nash99ja.GED.FTW] About the year 1767, three brothers, Joseph, Samuel, and James NASH, so ns of John Nash of Braintree, MA, came from North Yarmouth, ME to Pleas ant River. Samuel settled upon the lot on the ridge next south of the C olumbia line. Samuel died on the lot where he first settled. He had six acres of marsh included in Marsh Lot One, west side of Pleas ant River and another lot, one acre and ninety rods of marsh, being par t of above lots, and one hundred acres of land, no number being given b ut reference being made to Lathrop Lewis Plan. He was at Pleasant River, 27 APR 1778, with five in his family. He had a settler's lot deeded to him 2 JUN 1794 under act of 21 JUN 179 3. His lot was on "the Ridge" in Addison next to the Columbia line.
