• Notes

  There is some controversy over whether Garrett H. and Jared Isaac Puffer are the same person. The 1851 Federal Census seems to indicate that they are. There is no conclusive proof (yet) that this is so. I have continued to separate them (mainly due to the name of wives and birth dates).
