He married at Roxbury 8 February 1651 Susanna Rand, daughter of ROBERT RAND . (In his usual style, Savage interpreted this date of marriage as 8 February 1651/2. Since Abraham Newell Junior had a son Joseph born at Roxbury on 30 October 1651 and buried there on 10 December 1651, Savage assumed that Abraham had had an otherwise undocumented wife prior to Susanna Rand. If, however, we interpret the marriage date as 8 February 165[0/]1, then the child Joseph would have been born just a few days short of nine months after the marriage.)

Died in Roxbury 15 June 1672 "aged 91."
Married by about 1618 Francis _____. "Mother Newell" died at Roxbury on 13 January 1682/3 and was buried there on 16 January 1682/3 "near 100 years old."
