Ellis Cronauer. 83 year old groceryman of Walton, was acquitted yesterday of the charge of selling alcoholic, beverages without a license. His trial was held before Police Justice John J. Warner of Walton. In the courtroom at the Municipal Building. A jury of six Waltonians brought in a verdict of Innocent after deliberating but I5 minutes. Just three weeks ago, the defendant was also acquitted on a similar charge due, reportedly, to insufficient evidence. (Oneonta Star, Wed, Apr 24, 1957)
