- About 1833 he came to Marion county, IL, and settled near Kinmundy, taking up federal land on Fuller Creek, where he lived till about 1857. He then went to Collins County, TX, where he secured 80 acres of land. In 1862 he went to Bates County, MO, where he owned a farm of 120 acres. His father came later and lived with him until the latter's death.
