  ARCHIBALD McKAUGHAN, JR.: born 1735, County Antrim, Ireland. He came to America with his parents in 1747, at the age of 12 years. They settled in Pennsylvania, believed to be Cumberland County. He married JANE MERCER, daughter of Moses and LaGrelda Forrester Mercer from Scotland to Pennsylvania. Little is known about Moses and LaGrelda after they came to America.
