Notes - Educated in the public schools of Ashburnham. He learned the trade of carpenter and joiner, in the employ of his father. He followed his trade in his native town. For three years he was in Fitchburg; he was employed in a chair factory in Gardner and for several years was in charge of the Somerville Desk Co. He was employed in woodworking concerns in Worcester for many years and resided at 18 Franconia St. When a young man he served in Co. E., 10th Regt. M.V.M. of Ashburnham. He died from the affects of an automobile accident. He was thrown from his machine while driving in Fitchburg and was taken to the Fitchburg Hospital, where he died 10 days later. He is interred in Hope Cemetery, Worcester.
