  She was adopted by her husband's father and mother (before they were married), after her father was sent to prison and her mother couldn't keep her. Iva and her 'brother' Harry fell in love and wanted to marry, so Byron and Inez had to undue the adoption arrangement and Iva and Harry were married in 1912 and raised they family in Kingsley, Plymouth Co, IA.
