Notes - Civil War Veteran. He enlisted on Aug 20, 1862 in Watson, NY. He began active service on 12 Sept, 1862 as a Corporal, in the 5th L.H. Artillery which became Company C, 3rd Battalion, Blk River Artillery; on 31 Dec 1862 he was transferred to Co. L, 5th Artillery. He was promoted to Sergeant, March 9, 1865. He was mustered out on 26 Jun 1865.
