Notes - Attended Balliol College, Oxford University where he graduated in the c lass of 1634. He was ordained an Anglican Minister in the Church of En gland. In 1637 both of Robert's parents died of the Plague. He inherit ed 50 pounds (Approx. $7,500 in today's dollars) and soon after left En gland for America where he settled in the Colony of Maine, which was pa rt of the MA Bay Colony. He became the religious leader of a s ettlement on the coast of Maine, which was a fishing enterprise establi shed by John Winter. Robert married John Winter's daughter, Sarah Winte r, and their descendants formed together into an organization in 1989 k nown as The Family Jordan.
Came from Worcester, England in 1638. He established a
ministry at Richmond Island near Scarborough, ME. He removed to
Portsmouth, NH in 1675 and died there in 1679
