- He lived at Bolton for a time and finally at Stow. He and his brother Daniel helped to erect fortifications at Dorchester Heights in the War of 1812, but he was not enlisted. His wife's dower was set off Oct 17, 1826. Benjamin Brown was appointed guardian of his only (living) child Alvin Davis, Sept 5 1826.
