    Graduate of Smith College (A.B. 1892); studied at Berlin and Freiburg, Germany; received the degree of Ph. D. at Radcliffe in 1902. In 1891-2 she taught in the Kenne (Keene?), NH High School; in 1892-5 she was instructor in mathematics in Smith College and in 1902 was assistant in psychology in Radcliffe. From 1898 until the time of her marriage she was assistant professor of philosophy at Wellesley College and from 1901 until she married, she was instructor in psychology at Simmons College. She is a member of the the American Philosophical Society; the Folklore Society; the Authors Club; the Boston Deutsch Gesellshaft; the College Club, of which she was president in 1907. She is author of "Studies in Symmetry" (1902) an "The Psychology of Beauty". She resided in Keene.

In 1914-15 she was a member of the local board of directors and chairman of the lecture and press committee of Washington Center Dramatic League of America; vice-president and chairman of the vocational committee of Washington Branch, Association of Collegiate Allumnae; vice-president of Smith College Club of Washington; member of the executive board of College Women's club of Washington; member of Congressional Committee of National American Women's Suffrage Association and press chairman; member of the executive board and chairman of legislative committee of Washington Woman Sufferage Council; member of board of directors of Washington Branch, National College Equal Suffrage League; member of National Geographic Society; Washington Society of Fin Arts, and Art and Archeology League of Washington.
