Notes:
Enlisted in the Civil War Aug 21, 1861, discharged May 18,1865 in the 3 9th Mass. Regt.; was wounded June 18, 1864; took part in the Battles of t he Wilderness, Mile Run and Spottsylvania. He sang leading tenor in the Winslow Church at Taunton, and, from 1879 t ill he died, in the Church of the Ascension at Pueblo. He was a claim a gent of the Denver and Rio Grande RR for 15 years, later with the Color ado Fuel and Iron Co. He was also a Mayflower descendant from Henry Sa mpson.
