    He was a soldier in the French and Indian War in Capt. John Nixon's company, Col. Joseph Buckminister's regt. (list dated Sept. 17, 1755); also in Capt. Samuel Dakin's company, Col. Josiah Brown's regt. (roll dated Sept. 18, 1755); also in same company from Sept. 15 to Dec. 14, 1755, and through the years 1757-8, serving at Crown Point. He returned home and died Oct. 24, 1758. The inventory of his estate was dated Feb. 27, 1759, at Sudbury, signed by Samuel Puffer and Joshua Haynes.
