He was "..the youngest, always was different from Frank, according to Maude - disinterested in school, or in work - also joined the Canadian army and served, like Frank, in France. Came home, too, in 1919 but soon left. He was a true wanderer, working only when he needed money, appearing every so often at Frankie and Bob's house to see his Mother and to ask Bob (his brother-in-law) for a loan-then off for another year or so. Sometime after WWII, Bob Fleming had word that a woodsman had died in his cabin outside Kenora - and no family had been found and papers showed him to be a war veteran he was buried in a veteran's plot in Kenora."
